Red Dress Gala
The Red Dress Gala is Alpha Phi’s biggest, annual philanthropic event, which is held during our Fall semester! The money raised from the Red Dress Gala benefits the Alpha Phi Foundation. Our families, friends, and alumnae are invited to enjoy this wonderful evening hosted at a formal venue. The night includes: a delicious dinner, speeches from our sisters who have a personal connection to our philanthropy, a silent auction, raffle baskets, and dancing! Our 2024 Red Dress Gala raised over $7,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation in just one night!
Hoops for Heart
Hoops for Heart is our annual basketball tournament that is open for West Chester University students to test their skills and raise money/awareness for The Alpha Phi Foundation! We have snacks, music, and a whole bunch of basketball - both men and women's teams. It is one of the most fun ways for our sisters to get the West Chester University community together to raise money for a good cause. In the 2025 Tournament, we raised over $714, and provided the winning teams with money to donate to a Philanthropy of their choice.
PHIFA
PHifa is Alpha Phi's annual soccer tournament where teams compete for glory while supporting a great
cause! Participants form teams, pay an entry fee, and go head-to-head in a friendly but competitive
tournament. Whether you're playing or cheering from the sidelines, it's a high-energy event filled with
fun, sportsmanship, and philanthropy. All proceeds go directly to supporting Alpha Phi's mission of
advocating for women's heart health. Lace up, show out, and kick it for a cause!
Catching PHIlings
Catching PHIlings is Alpha Phi’s all for fun blind date event where participants get matched with a member for a lighthearted compatibility competition. Guys pay to enter and are paired with an Alpha Phi, then answer compatibility questions in front of an audience. The crowd votes on which pair is the most compatible and all proceeds go towards supporting the Alpha Phi foundation. At our 2025 event we were able to raise over $214.
